THE EVENT
The hike was started in 1996 by Pegasus Venture Scout Unit to provide an incident night hike competition for Venture Scout Units within Bexleyheath District. With the District Team subsequently restarting the Foresters Hike in 1999 and the change in age ranges from Venture Scouts to Explorer Scouts the hike ceased in 2000.
​With some of the Explorer Scout Units in Bexley District looking for an additional night hike opportunity Black Prince SAS have dug out and polished up the old trophy and restarted this in October 2017.
