LONDOM CALLING

THE EVENT

A sponsored walk along part of the Thames Path between Tower Bridge and Fulham to raise funds for UCLH, Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice and other medical charities.

Picture
A big thankyou to everyone who walked, donated money or supported us in any other way today.
It was really nice to see so many familiar faces, and to talk to a few people i'd not met before.
Our next big event will be Cycling to Paris to coincide with what should have been Doms 40th Birthday.
This will be 11-17 April 2017 (Start in Greenwich Park, finishing on Good Friday in Paris)
If you are interested in getting involved, please keep an eye on Facebook for further details. ‪#‎NotreDom‬

THE ROUTE

The full 12 mile route will start at Potter's Field by City Hall in the shadows of Tower Bridge and follow the Thames Path along the South Bank before crossing the river at Putney and then following the Thames Path along the North Bank through Bishops Park to our finish point at The Crabtree.

For those who do not want to walk the full route there will also be shorter 10, 6 and 2 mile options available which will also all finish at The Crabtree.

THE FINISH

We have reserved the Crabapple Function Room at The Crabtree pub from 3pm to 9pm and hope that you will join your fellow walkers here at the end of the Walk.

Drinks can be purchased from the bar and food from the outside Grill.  When registering please indicate if you plan to stay at The Crabtree on finishing so that we can let the pub know expected numbers in advance and arrange for an additional area to be reserved in the main bar if we are going to exceed the capacity of the Function Room.

SPONSORSHIP

There are 2 main charities that we aim to raise funds for:

UCLH - a cancer research charity run by the team of surgeons who looked after Dominic Sutton throughout his illness.

Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice - a local hospice that has looked after many friends and members of our local Scouting community.

Many of you will have been affected by other medical or health issues or have charities that mean a lot to you personally. We are happy for you to use the Walk to raise money for ANY registered charity that relates to a medical or health issue.

All that we ask is that if you are using Just Giving to raise sponsorship please add your page within our Team pages to enable us to keep track of the total amount raised by the Walk.
